Immediately secure the profile mechanically by driving screws through pre-drilled holes into wall plugs set within the ceiling substrate. Duration: 15 minutes per anchoring point. Common Mistake: Relying solely on adhesive and omitting mandatory mechanical wall plugs and screws.
Step 5: Joint Filling and Surface Sanding — Fill all screw head recesses and section joints with polyurethane-compatible putty. Finish the log with two coats of paint, ensuring the paint specified for outdoor installations is fully UV-resistant. Duration: 45 minutes plus drying time. Common Mistake: Using non-UV resistant interior paint for exterior log installations.
