12 cm skirting board
A 12 cm skirting board is a polyurethane edge profile about 12 centimetres tall, fitted where the wall meets the floor. Being wider than standard skirting, it gives a balanced proportion at the base of the wall in rooms with high ceilings. In living rooms, offices and wide hallways it separates the floor covering from the wall with a clean line and protects the base of the wall from impacts. Polyurethane is light and resists moisture and impact; it will not swell or rot in damp and bonds directly with mounting adhesive. The surface is smooth and can be painted any colour. Because it is mould-cast, the profile cross-section is identical on every piece. Polure produces the 12 cm skirting board in different cross-section profiles.
