40x240 column

A 40x240 column is a decorative polyurethane column with a shaft diameter of about 40 centimetres and a height of 240 centimetres. It is usually used together with a base and capital to form a vertical classical architectural element in a space; it is applied at living room entrances, wide halls and on facades to clad load-bearing columns or as a standalone decorative feature. Polyurethane is light, so despite its large size it can be carried and fitted by one person. It resists moisture and impact, and unlike its stone or concrete counterpart it does not crack or blister and is fitted with mounting adhesive. The surface is paintable and can be brought to any colour. Because it is mould-cast, the shaft profile is identical on every piece. Polure produces the 40x240 column in a standard size.
