wood beam cover

A wood beam cover is a U-shaped polyurethane profile, closed on three sides, used to clad an existing timber or reinforced-concrete beam. It is slipped over the ceiling beam to improve its appearance or to create a decorative beam effect. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is fixed with assembly adhesive and, where needed, screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Compared with wood it is not attacked by insects, does not deform in humid conditions and installs quickly. Its U-section fully conceals the existing beam.
