A wood beam corbel is a polyurethane support element placed under a beam to complete the look of a timber beam or bracket. It is generally used as a visual support element at decorative beam ends or at the wall-to-beam junction. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is fixed to the surface with assembly adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. It is a non-load-bearing decorative element; compared with wood it is not attacked by insects and does not deform in humid conditions.
