wood-imitation cap

A wood-imitation cap is a polyurethane cap or covering element given a wood-textured look. It is used to conceal points such as beam ends, ducts and column bases and to provide a wood-look cover. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects and does not deform in humid conditions. As it is mould-cast, the wood grain pattern repeats on every piece. Polure produces wood-imitation caps in a range of sizes and patterns.
