wood-imitation polyurethane
Wood-imitation polyurethane is a polyurethane decoration material given a wood texture and grain appearance. It is used as an alternative to real wood in products such as beams, panels, mouldings and slats. The polyurethane material is lightweight; it is applied directly with assembly adhesive, and installation takes less time than with wood. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is not attacked by insects, does not warp and does not deform in humid conditions. As it is mould-cast, the wood grain pattern repeats identically on every piece. Polure produces wood-imitation polyurethane products in a range of sizes and patterns.
