Acanthus leaf relief is a polyurethane decorative element in which the acanthus leaf form is worked as relief on the surface. It is used on wall panels, cornice corners and column capitals as classical ornamentation that adds depth. Because the polyurethane material is lightweight, it is easily applied to vertical surfaces with adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. It is lighter than wood or plaster relief and quick to carry and install. As it is cast in moulds, the relief height and leaf veins repeat identically on every piece.
