acanthus leaf capital

The acanthus leaf capital is a polyurethane column capital worked with acanthus leaf decoration. Fitted to the top of a column or pilaster, it is used as a classical architectural finishing element. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Being much lighter than stone or plaster capitals, it can be carried by one person and installed quickly. As it is cast in moulds, the leaf curves and proportions repeat identically on every piece.
