The acanthus leaf corbel is a polyurethane decorative corbel with a load-bearing appearance, worked with acanthus leaf decoration. It is used as an ornamental element giving the look of support beneath shelves, cornices and above windows and doors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Being much lighter than a wood or stone corbel, it puts no load on the wall and installs quickly. Since it is cast in moulds, the leaf curves are identical on every piece.
