Acanthus leaf embellishment is the general name for polyurethane decorative ornamentation worked with the acanthus leaf form. It is used on walls, ceilings, cornice corners and column capitals for classical embellishment. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster ornamentation, it can be carried by one person and installed quickly. Since it is cast in moulds, the leaf veins and curves repeat identically on every piece.
