A garden lighting post is the decorative polyurethane post body that carries a light fixture in gardens and landscaped areas. It is used along walkways, entrances and pool surrounds both to raise the lighting and to dress the area with a column-like element. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied as a cladding over an inner metal support; outdoors it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, blister or warp, and takes paint well. Being lighter than a concrete post, it is easy to transport and install, and can be removed and repositioned when needed. Since it is moulded, the body profile repeats identically on every piece.
