under-balcony support

An under-balcony support is the polyurethane decorative support element placed beneath a balcony or projection to give the look of a load-bearing piece. On the facade it visually takes on the role of a console or bracket, appearing to hold the balcony from below. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied with construction adhesive and screws where needed; outdoors it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, blister or warp, and takes paint well. Being lighter than stone or concrete, facade fitting at height becomes easier and it adds no extra load to the structure.
