A balcony newel post is the vertical main support column that carries the top and bottom rails of a balcony railing. It is placed at the start, end and corner points of the railing run, mechanically supporting the balusters in between and the top rail. A polyurethane balcony newel post is lightweight, which makes installation easier on upper floors; it resists moisture and outdoor conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is mould-cast, the profile and ornamental details repeat identically on every piece, providing visual continuity along long railing runs. Installation is done with a suitable adhesive and, where needed, dowel support.
