Boiserie wall paneling is a polyurethane wall covering system arranged in frames and panels, applied to the lower section or the full surface of a wall. In classical and neoclassical interiors it serves as decorative cladding on living room, dining room, hallway and stairwell walls. The polyurethane material is lightweight and bonds directly to the wall with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted in any colour. Compared with its wooden counterpart it is unaffected by humidity and installs faster. Trim profiles and panel mouldings are combined to create divisions in the desired dimensions.
