A boiserie cornice model is a decorative polyurethane profile used at the top of a wall panel layout to complete the join with the ceiling. At the upper edge of paneling and panel cladding it acts as a cornice, creating an ornamented transition that links the wall to the ceiling. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and is paintable. Being lighter than its plaster counterpart, it is suitable for single-person installation and does not deform in humid environments. It works in harmony with panel mouldings and corner pieces.
