A paintable chair rail is a profiled polyurethane border element that divides a wall horizontally and is paintable in any colour. It is usually applied at waist height to split the wall into two zones and create a transition between different colours or textures, and is used in living rooms, hallways and corridors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted to match the wall colour. Being lighter than its plaster counterpart, it installs quickly and does not deform in humid environments. Because it is mould-produced, the profile repeats identically on every piece.
