A paintable furniture ornament is a polyurethane decorative piece produced with a paint-accepting surface that adds relief motifs to cabinet, display unit, bed-base and door surfaces. It is used as an ornamental element in classic furniture production and in renovating old furniture. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly to the furniture surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted the same tone as the furniture. Compared with carved wood ornaments it is lighter, does not rot, and the same detail is achieved on every piece in series production. Because it is mould-cast, the motif lines repeat consistently on every piece. Once painted, it gives a look integrated with the furniture surface.
