twisted decorative column

A twisted decorative column is a polyurethane decorative column whose shaft is worked in a spiral (helical) form. It is used on interior and exterior walls, at entrances and passages, to give a classical architectural effect. The polyurethane material is light and fixes to the surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted any colour. Being far lighter than its stone or plaster counterpart, it adds no load to the surface and installs quickly. As the twisted shaft is mould-produced, the spiral lines run evenly and identically on every piece. It is generally completed with capital and base parts.
