large column capital

A large column capital is a large-scale polyurethane capital element placed on the upper section of a decorative column or pillar. It is used on top of large-scale columns in high-ceilinged living rooms, large entrances and exterior facades to provide a classical architectural finish. The polyurethane material is light and fixes onto the column with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted any colour. Despite its large size it is light, so it adds no load to the column or surface and makes installation easier. As the relief motifs on the capital are mould-produced, the details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces the large column capital in a range of diameters and patterns.
