A large column capital fits the top end of a decorative column and is a wide-scale polyurethane capital element suited to large-diameter columns. It is used in high-ceilinged halls, villa entrances, and on wide-bodied columns to create a proportional transition between the column and the ceiling. Classic capital types such as Corinthian, Ionic, and Doric can be produced in large sizes. Because polyurethane is light, even a large capital fixes easily to the column body with mounting adhesive and needs no extra support due to weight. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and is paintable. It is lighter and installs faster than plaster or wood.
