large ceiling medallion

A large ceiling medallion is a wide-diameter circular polyurethane ornamental element placed at the centre of the ceiling and suited to large ceilings. By surrounding the point where a chandelier or light fixture hangs, it creates a centre accent on the ceiling; it is used in halls, lobbies, and high-ceilinged wide spaces where a small medallion looks out of proportion. Because polyurethane is light, even a large-diameter medallion fixes easily to the ceiling with mounting adhesive; the risk of cracking and falling is lower than with a plaster equivalent. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted to match the ceiling colour. As it is mould-produced, the motif details repeat identically on every piece.
