A large column capital piece fits the top end of a decorative column and is a large-scale polyurethane capital suited to wide-diameter columns. It creates a proportional transition between the column and the ceiling or beam; it is used in high-ceilinged halls, villa entrances, and on wide-bodied columns. Corinthian, Ionic, and Doric types can be produced in large sizes. Because polyurethane is light, even a large capital fixes easily to the column body with mounting adhesive and needs no extra support. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and is paintable. It is lighter and installs faster than plaster or stone.
