facade support bracket

A facade support bracket is a polyurethane profile placed beneath cantilevers, balconies, eaves and cornices on a building's exterior, giving the look of structural support while serving a decorative role. It is usually made as a console, corbel or bracket form and is used above windows, over entrance canopies and at facade transition points. Polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed with both construction adhesive and a mechanical connection; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Compared with plaster or wood equivalents it lasts longer outdoors and installs faster.
