facade console

A facade console is an elbow-shaped decorative polyurethane support element placed beneath cornices, eaves and cantilevers on a building's exterior. It gives a load-bearing look to the facade and divides the cornice line at set intervals to create rhythm. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and plaster equivalents, it adds no extra load to the facade and installs faster.
