A decorative furniture applique is a relief polyurethane ornament piece added to a furniture surface. It is used on items such as cabinet doors, wardrobes, headboards and consoles to add relief motifs and classical detail to a flat surface. The polyurethane applique is lightweight and is applied directly to the furniture surface with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted to match the furniture colour.
