decorative ceiling medallion

A decorative ceiling medallion is a round or oval polyurethane ornament mounted at the centre of the ceiling, usually around the chandelier outlet. It frames the chandelier to create a focal point on the ceiling and conceals the electrical outlet. The polyurethane body is light and can be installed by one person using construction adhesive, with screws added when needed. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted in any colour. Because it is lighter than its plaster equivalent, it adds no extra load to the ceiling and installs quickly. As it is moulded, the relief patterns repeat with the same sharpness on every piece.
