oversized corbel

An oversized corbel is a large-scale polyurethane console element produced in greater length and size than usual, carrying the look of supporting projections and shelf undersides. It is used in high-ceilinged spaces, on wide eaves and under large shelves to give a decorative supporting effect. The polyurethane material is lightweight and goes on with assembly adhesive and, at large sizes, a mechanical fixing; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, peel or warp, and can be painted. It is far lighter than stone and wood equivalents and, despite its large size, is easy to transport and install. As the details are mould-formed, the same form repeats on every piece. Polure produces oversized corbels in a range of large sizes and motifs.
