exterior facade fretwork

Exterior facade fretwork is a hollow or perforated polyurethane decorative element cut with patterns for use on the outer surface of a building. It is applied above windows, on pediments, balustrades and facade borders to create shadow and pattern. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed to the facade with mounting adhesive and mechanical fasteners. It resists moisture, rain and sun; it does not crack, blister or rot and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Compared with plaster, it does not break; compared with wood, it does not absorb moisture, and being lighter it makes high-level installation easier. Because it is mould-produced, the same fretwork pattern repeats identically on every piece, keeping the pattern consistent across the facade.
