An exterior facade column base is a polyurethane facade element that forms the base section at the bottom of a column where it rests on the ground. It is used to frame the column shaft from the bottom, giving the vertical element a clean transition and a balanced footing. The polyurethane material is lightweight, which makes installation easier; it resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than plaster or stone, it adds no extra load to the facade and is applied with mounting adhesive. Because each piece is cast from a mould, the profile detail repeats identically.
