Exterior casing is a polyurethane profile element that frames the edges of door and window openings on a building's exterior. Applied around the opening, it highlights the edge transition and gives the facade a clean framed look. Polyurethane is lightweight and resists moisture, frost and outdoor weather; it does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Unlike wooden casing, it is unaffected by moisture and does not rot; being lighter than stone equivalents, it installs quickly and adds no extra load to the wall.
