dentil ceiling cornice

A dentil ceiling cornice is a polyurethane cornice profile used at the junction of ceiling and wall, carrying a row of dentils on its face. It is applied indoors to give the ceiling edge a classical, shadowed and rhythmic detail. The dentil form brings the dentil row of classical cornices onto the ceiling line. Polyurethane is lightweight and resistant to moisture and impact; it will not crack, blister and can be painted. Being lighter than its plaster equivalent, it can be fitted quickly by one person using construction adhesive, with the joints filled with filler. Since it is moulded, the dentil spacing repeats identically and gives a continuous run along the ceiling. Polure manufactures dentil ceiling cornices in a range of sections and sizes.
