doric ionic corinthian

Doric ionic corinthian is a group of polyurethane decorative elements covering the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian capitals, the three basic column orders of classical architecture. The Doric is plain and geometric, the Ionic has a curled volute on each side, and the Corinthian is the richest form with acanthus leaf detail. It is fitted to the top of the column shaft to complete the capital and emphasise the classical order. Polyurethane is lightweight and resistant to moisture and impact; it will not crack, blister and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone or plaster, it is easily fixed to the top of the column with construction adhesive. Since it is moulded, the leaf and volute details repeat identically on every piece.
