A plain ceiling profile is a polyurethane profile with a simple, flat cross-section, used to create a decorative line on the ceiling or close a joint. It is applied for geometric sectioning, coffer (medallion) framing or covering the ceiling-wall joint on the ceiling surface. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed directly to the ceiling with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted. Unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture and does not warp, it has a lower risk of breaking than plaster, and it installs quickly. The flat cross-section makes corner joints easy.
