A wide surround profile is a polyurethane surround model with a broad cross-section used to create a wide border along door and window edges. It is applied on facades and interior walls to frame door and window openings. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall surface with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture, impact and, outdoors, sunlight, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Despite being broad, it is light compared to plaster and wood, so it installs quickly and can be applied by a single person. Because it is mould-produced, the cross-section and surface pattern of the profile repeat identically on every piece.
