lightweight coving

Lightweight coving is a low-weight decorative moulding made from polyurethane that fits at the junction of ceiling and wall. It is used in living rooms, hallways and sitting areas to frame the ceiling edge, soften the transition and create concealed lighting. Polyurethane is much lighter than plaster coving, so a single person can carry it and it is applied directly with construction adhesive without the need for plaster rendering. It resists moisture and impact, will not crack or swell, and can be painted. Because it is moulded, the profile pattern is identical on every piece and forms a continuous line at the joints. Polure produces lightweight coving in different width and profile options.
