An interior lighting channel is a channelled profile element made from polyurethane that houses an LED strip to create a hidden, indirect lighting line. It is used along ceiling and wall edges to conceal the light source and provide soft lighting from reflected light. Polyurethane is much lighter than plaster or metal; it is cut to size and applied directly to the surface with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, will not crack or swell, can be painted, and remains stable against LED heat. Because the channel section is moulded, it is identical on every piece and forms an uninterrupted light channel at the joints.
