Door side column decor refers to the decorative polyurethane column and pilaster elements applied to the sides of a door opening. It is used to frame the area around the door with columns and give the passage a classical architectural emphasis. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Because it is lighter than a stone or plaster column, installation beside the door is easy and it is unaffected by moisture.
