Above-door arch decoration refers to the whole of the arch piece applied above a door together with the polyurethane ornament around it. With the arch profile, keystone and dentil ornament, it gives the door entrance an arched and decorated top. It is used at interior and exterior door entrances where a classical or neoclassical look is wanted. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the arch and motif details repeat identically on every piece. Being lighter than plaster makes above-door installation easier, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture.
