Coffered Ceiling Design

A coffered ceiling design divides the ceiling into square or rectangular coffers with polyurethane profiles and panels, creating a recessed surface. The frames between the coffers give the ceiling depth and a regular pattern. It is used in wide-ceiling spaces such as living rooms, meeting rooms and entrance halls. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Compared with a wooden coffered ceiling it is unaffected by moisture and, being lighter, installs quickly. Since the mould-cast pieces are of standard size, the coffer pattern repeats regularly across the ceiling. Polure produces coffered ceiling pieces in different size and pattern options.
