Arched passage decoration is decoration made by giving an arch form to the top of a door or opening between two spaces. It is used in transitions such as living room to hall or kitchen to dining area to create an arched look instead of a straight lintel. Polyurethane arch profiles are produced to suit the radius of the opening and join with straight pieces to complete the passage. The polyurethane material is light, and because the arch form is mould-produced it runs evenly along the curve; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted.
