classical decorative baluster

The classical decorative baluster is a profiled railing post (balustre) set between the handrail and the lower base, used on balcony, terrace and stair railings in classical architecture. When lined up, the balusters create a rhythmic railing line suited to the classical style. It is mould-cast from polyurethane; the material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone or concrete, it speeds up railing installation and adds no extra load to the structure. Because it is mould-cast, every baluster shares the same profile and size, so the row aligns neatly. Polure produces the classical decorative baluster in a range of sizes and profile options.
