classical support element

A classical support element is a profiled building component that appears to support projecting surfaces, shelves and eaves in classical architecture; corbels and brackets belong to this group. Placed at regular intervals beneath cornices, eaves and shelves, it provides both a load-bearing appearance and rhythmic ornament. It is mould-cast from polyurethane; the material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone and timber, it installs easily at high points and adds no extra load to the surface. Because it is mould-cast, every element shares the same size and profile.
