classic door crown

A classic door crown is a polyurethane top finishing element placed at the upper part of a door opening, drawing on the pediment tradition of classical architecture. By forming a horizontal or triangular crown above the door it gives the passage a symmetrical emphasis. The polyurethane material is light and applied with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Thanks to its light structure it is easily mounted at a high point such as above a door, adding less weight than a plaster crown. Because it is mould-produced, the profiles and dimensions are standard. Polure produces classic door crowns in sizes suited to different door widths.
