classic baluster

A classic baluster is a polyurethane vertical element used in the vertical spacings of a railing or balustrade, drawing on the bulged shaft form of classical architecture. Lined up between the upper and lower rails, it forms the infill of the railing and gives it a classic appearance. The polyurethane material is light and applied with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. It is used for decorative purposes and should be evaluated together with a load-bearing railing structure. Because it is mould-produced, the shaft form of each baluster repeats the same. Polure produces classic balusters in a range of heights and shaft dimensions.
