A classic newel post is a polyurethane decorative post with a classical profile that supports the handrail on stair and balcony railings and is used at vertical intervals. It is used on stair and terrace railings to support the railing line and give a classic look. It is usually applied together with balusters. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed with mounting adhesive and, where needed, a concealed connecting rod; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, and can be painted.
