A classic stair handrail is a polyurethane decorative element with a classical profile that serves as a hand grip at the top of a stair railing. Resting on the balusters and newel posts, it completes the railing line and gives the staircase a classic look. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed with mounting adhesive and a concealed connecting rod; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, and can be painted. Unlike a timber handrail, it does not swell in damp environments. For its grip function it is applied together with balusters and, where needed, an internal reinforcement.
