A classic furniture motif is the polyurethane version of the raised patterns and figures used on classic furniture. It serves as a decorative element on the surfaces of cabinets, wardrobes, chests and display cabinets. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied straight to the wood surface with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted to match the furniture. Compared with a carved-wood equivalent it is lower in cost and faster to apply. Because it is mould-produced, the motif details repeat exactly on every piece.
