Classic kitchen decoration is the dressing of kitchen surfaces with classic-style polyurethane profiles and ornaments. It is used as a decorative complement on the edges of kitchen cabinets, around the cooker hood, and on cornices and borders. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied straight with mounting adhesive; because it resists moisture and impact it suits damp environments such as kitchens, does not crack or swell, and can be painted to match the cabinets. Compared with a wood equivalent it is lighter and faster to apply. Because it is mould-produced, the profile and motif details repeat identically on every piece.
