Classic carving is a raised decorative element that gives the look of wood carving in classic decoration using polyurethane material. It is used to create a carved-pattern appearance on furniture, frame, door and wall surfaces. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied straight with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and when painted can be given a wood appearance. Compared with real wood carving it is lower in cost, lighter and faster to apply. Because it is mould-produced, the carving details repeat exactly on every piece.
